Tips to get the most out of your infrared sauna session
Infrared saunas use gentle, natural infrared heat to raise your core body temperature by three degrees in a relaxing and comfortable environment. Our infrared sauna uses patented Solocarbon® technology to penetrate body tissue and stimulates detoxification via sweating and boosts overall health and well-being.
Enjoy the feeling of lying under the sun on a warm day, while your body rids itself of toxins, reduces blood pressure and even burns calories.
The following steps are recommend to achieve the most benefits from your infrared sauna session:
- Have a pre-sauna shower to cleanse your skin and stimulate the sweating process
- Avoid using chemicals or lotions before your sauna, this can block pores and prevent the body sweating
- Drink plenty of liquids prior to your sauna, this initiates sweating to help flush toxins from the body
- Eat something light with high-water-content before your sauna
- Your body will continue to keep sweating for at least 30 minutes after your session is finished. Its recommended to wait 30 minutes before having a cool shower to balance the body temperature, remove toxins and close the skins pores
- Rest and eat after your sauna to allow the body to recover and replace lost nutrients and electrolytes
For best results its recommended having 2-3 saunas per week, sauna sessions is 45 minutes. A variety of sauna passes and a combination of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and sauna passes are available.
